aycan installs PACS at Alorf Hospital, Kuwait
Fully Integrated PACS solution provides efficient workflow
Würzburg, July 3, 2015, aycan, a recognized global leader in workflow solutions for medical imaging, announced today the installation of an aycan PACS for Alorf Hospital, a leading multi-specialty hospital in Jahra, Kuwait.
For its digital equipment, Dr. Khaled Kamal, consultant and head of the radiology department, trusts in German products. It was important for Alorf Hospital that their PACS vendor offers a turnkey solution with all components working together seamlessly.
Customized for Alorf Hospital, the aycan PACS solution is comprised of aycan store, a scalable, high performance DICOM archiving and distribution system; aycan OsiriX PRO, a diagnostic viewer; aycan mobile, a teleradiology iPad application; aycan Private Cloud, a secure teleradiology image transfer solution; and aycan xray-print, a DICOM paper print solution.
“As a senior radiologist, I worked with different workstations, radiology printing solutions and PACS systems – truly, I found that aycan offers the best solution and with superior quality regarding paper printing. Clinicians are very pleased with the cost savings, which made the administration quite happy as well.”, says Dr. Kamal.
Dr. Kamal further adds: “Working with aycan OsiriX and PACS makes life so easy for the radiologist – with amazing workflow and quick image transfer. Last but not least is the aycan mobile teleradiology solution… it is the best no doubt, and nothing can compete with aycan in this area. Teleradiology is an important part of my job. I can now leave the hospital and travel with peace of mind knowing I have access to all images at all time.”
To simplify the work of a radiologist, aycan developed the aycan mobile iPad App, which offers physicians an opportunity to communicate without being in the clinical office. Furthermore it is possible to take data paperless to the patient’s bedside. And via Private Cloud it is very easy to change data on every device in real time.
